Covid was beginning to wane, travel started tentatively. I’d been marooned far away from home for nine months in 2021, during the second and third waves. Singapore wouldn’t let me come back, so, after months in India, first Kolkata, then Bengaluru, I went to London. When I returned finally, I was ready to travel again. We went for a holiday to Turkey.
