It was a memorable time, a few years, when my walking partner AJ and I walked around as many places in Singapore as we could, to celebrate the island nation turning fifty. SG50, as they called it here. We went on nearly eighty walks over two years and a bit. I learnt so much about the city we moved to in 1997. As foreigners, even those of us who worked, the usual beat was a minuscule part of this microscopic island with its mega dreams. I’ve never regretted the decision to set out on the Road to Singapore.
I have written about fifty of these walks. I’ll be uploading them in the coming days. Thanks for browsing, have fun.
